Situated just 2 miles inland from Whitby and the Yorkshire Coast, Ruswarp is a quiet little North York Moors village with a shop and pub. The village has its own 9 hole golf course and both sea and river fishing are available nearby. Enjoy an hour boating on Ruswarp's river or take a ride on the local miniature steam railway! An excellent base for enjoying the Yorkshire Coast.

The Property: Kingfisher Cottage

A lovely, modern end-terrace cottage, situated on the banks of the River Esk in the charming village of Ruswarp, just 2 miles from Whitby. Offering superb accommodation, this delightful property offers views over the river from the spacious first floor sitting room, whilst the kitchen provides access via French doors to the patio area, an ideal place to sit and watch the abundance of riverside wildlife. Ruswarp itself offers boat trips along the river, a small golf course, a miniature railway and a local pub and shops just three minutes walk from the cottage, whilst the fishing port of Whitby can be easily accessed via a nearby public footpath. A great location ideal for exploring all the coastal and inland villages of the east coast and the striking countryside of the North York Moors.

Over three floors. Three bedrooms: 2 x double, 1 x single. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin and WC. Ground floor WC and basin. Fitted kitchen with dining area. First floor sitting room with living flame-effect gas fire.

Amenities

Gas central heating with additional heating from living flame-effect gas fire in sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, colour TV, video, DVD, radio/CD player etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Small, sunny patio with garden furniture and river frontage. One well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 3 mins walk. Note: This property only accepts children of 8 years and over.

We enjoyed the scenery, looking out over the river from the property and also watching the steam trains pass over the bridge some 50-100 yards from the back garden. The property also felt just like home and the neighbours were friendly and helpful.
